With saddened hearts we announce the passing of Daniel (Danny) Francis Lessard 63 of Hemmingford. Danny fought a courageous battle with cancer and passed away with his family by his side on Dec 6, 2021. Born in Montreal on June 10, 1958 he was a son of Marie (Walsh) Howe and the late Al Lessard. Music was a big part of Danny’s life, from playing music with his brother in the early days to listening and singing to just about anything. He loved having a good time and was often the center of great conversations, he had a passion for reading which made him knowledgeable in so many subjects, he was the king of facts. Some facts we’re more useful than others. Everyone who has ever met Danny just loved him right away, he had an extremely big heart, a great sense of humour and was very generous. He always had a nickname for everyone.
Danny is survived by his loving wife Nancy (Whyte); sister, Kellee (Tedd) Drummond and their child Chelsi ; brothers, Marc (Judy) Lessard and their child Phillippe, Michael Murphy, Chris (Cheri) Howe and their child Emma; brother in laws, late Rudy (Lise) and their kids Lynn, Lynda, Andrew, late Richard, Patrick (late wife Linda), Allen (Betty), Michael and his children Daniel, Robert, Steven. Eric (Jo-Anne) and their children Dustin and Jennifer, late Ronny and Brian. Special thank you to the wonderful staff at Anna Laberge Hospital for their compassion, care and treating him like family not a patient. Donations in Danny’s memory can be made to Anna Laberge Hospital.
The family will receive condolences at the St-Romain Church of Hemmingford(543, rue Frontière, Hemmingford J0l1H0), on Friday, December 10 2021 at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
