The Dufour family of Hemmingford, Quebec wish to announce the peaceful passing of Eleanor “Ellie“ Dufour. She was the only child of Francine Charlebois and Phillip Cuthbert Dufour. Ellie was born in 1971 and had a wonderful birthday celebration, hosted by her mother, this past October 14th. Ellie turned 47 years old. She was afflicted with a diabetic life having been diagnosed at the age of 18 months. She was very courageous in dealing with her diabetes. She was such a trooper and she was ready to try any proven experimental remedies if her doctor approved. She was a very positive person and she communicated her displeasure to whomever was in the way of Ellie moving forward. Ellie produced three amazing children considering her health. Phillip was born in 1993, Patrick was born in 1995 and Megan in 2001. Ellies life was further enriched by her choice of career. She became a home care person and daily visited patients in her area. She studied for two years to obtain her certification. She loved her work and her regular patients loved her. To say that she will be missed is an understatement to all that knew her.

Saturday,October 27th starting at 10:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of her life at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation to the Canadian Diabetic Society in Ellie’s name.
