I remember Roy well as my supervisor when I started as a student at customs oh so many years ago. He was always honest and direct. He inspired confidence and put everyone at ease. I remember a sharp wit and a dry sense of humor. My first impressions of Roy were to last. I worked with him for several years and maintained a friendship through his children afterwards.
