Toutes nos condoléances
Fred, my soccer brother. Our days as teens, spent playing soccer, or sleepovers at your place, hanging out with our guys from FC select, road trips to games, house parties and the one time you tried to teach me to play the electric guitar, memories that are just like any other, and yet, they are in my head like it was yesterday. Your parent’s hospitality, their generosity with their time, taking me in when we were set to travel the next day, your mom asking me why I didn’t use the “debarbouillette” (ps.: because I didn’t know what it was for lll), My fondest memories of my youth were spent with You and our teammates. You were (and still remain) the smartest person I know. You were calm and reserved, but could dish out jokes like the others and make us laugh like fools, you were kind to me, a good friend, and despite the time and distance that lead us apart, my heart is shattered to know you no longer grace this earth. In soccer, as I am sure in life, you were an artist with grace beyond your time, cerebral in approach to the game, and played it with love and passion, we will continue sharing the stories of our youth, Triumphs and defeats, and will remember you forever. Rest in peace FC Select class of ‘82 #9
