When I was a teenager in the mid-70s, Garry started calling for teen and family square dance clubs in Hemmingford and Lacolle (where I'm from). Our clubs used to visit each other and we kids all made friends through the activity, and many of us have stayed in touch over the years. God bless him for starting those clubs, and introducing us to a worldwide activity that grew exponentially over the years and around the world. I remember his sons Glenn and Kevin, and express my sympathy to them. He brought Jeannie to my father's funeral in January 2016, and I appreciated that so much. I hadn't seen him in years.
