No words can express the sadness I feel after hearing the news. I have lots of fond memories of Marie. Although it has been many years since I had seen her I remember her as a funny and caring person. I always remember her smile. May God put her to good use. Rest in peace Marie. I send my love and as I am not able to make it for the service please know that my heart will be there. May the love of family bring you strength.

C’est avec beaucoup de tristesse que Jacques et moi apprenions le décès de ta mère. Nous savons aussi la peine qui t’habite et voulons que tu saches que nous sommes, du plus profond de notre coeur, en pensée avec toi et ta famille.

Contrairement à mon message laissé dans ta boîte vocale, je ne pourrai malheureusement être des vôtres car Jacques a des problèmes de santé depuis mardi dernier et vient tout juste d’obtenir un rendez-vous à la clinique d’urgence ce samedi, 12h. Pour ce faire, je dois l’accompagner. Je suis vraiment désolée.

Que cette cérémonie soit empreinte de tout l’amour que tu lui portais. Garde en mémoire tous tes plus beaux souvenirs; ta mère conservera entre autres, celui de ton grand dévouement.

Overwhelmed to learn such terrible news

This summer, meeting all of you, and having spent a very pleasant time with Marie, my heart breaks for you. She will always be remembered as a very gracious and kind person who welcomed me into her home like an old friend and relative. Grief is something that I’ve known in my life too and you walk a path right now that feels like it will never end. Days pass, time moves on and with it, the fond memories of a good wife, mother and grandmother, daughter and sister, begin to gather in each person’s mind and you cannot help but miss her but smile for the good times you had together.
