At the Barrie Memorial Hospital, in Ormstown, on August 15th, Robert left this world.
A resident of Hemmingford, he leaves in sorrow, his wife and friend, Suzanne Lapierre Gingras, his children Paul, Susan Paxton (Brian) and Francis Foster, his granddaughter Laurie Eiler (Brian), as well as his stepchildren, Bruno (Lina), Brigitte Gingras (Serge) and his cherished granddaughter Valérie Fallu (Dylan).
He will also be missed by his brother David (Gail), nieces Melanie, Diane Young and France Bélanger.
After a career in the Canadian Forces and a participation in the 1976 Olympic Committee, he completed his working years in the Marine transportation business with Montreal Shipping (MontShip)
There will be a memorial gathering for family and friends on Monday August 24th, from 2:30 p.m. at the Hemmingford Golf Club (313 Rte 219, Hemmingford, Québec, J0L1H0).
In his memory, donations to the Barrie Memorial Hospital Foundation ( 28 Gale street, Ormstown Québec J0S1K0 / www.fondationhbm.com) would be appreciated.

À l'hôpital Barrie Memorial de Ormstown, le 15 août 2015, Robert nous a quittés. Résident de Hemmingford, il laisse dans la peine son épouse et amie Suzanne Lapierre Gingras, ses enfants Paul, Susan Paxton (Brian), Francis Foster, sa petite-fille Laurie Eiler (Brian), ainsi que ses enfants par alliance Bruno (Lina), Brigitte Gingras (Serge), sa petite-fille chérie Valérie Fallu (Dylan).

Après une carrière dans les Forces Canadienne et sa participation en 1976 au Comité Olympique, il a terminé sa carrière au sein d'une entreprise de transport maritime, Montreal Shipping (MontShip).
Lundi 24 août 2015 dès 14h30, il y aura une rencontre hommage-souvenir au Club de Golf Hemmingford (313 Rte 219, Hemmingford, Québec, J0L1H0).
