Christina (Tennie) Jessie Mabel Hawkins Wallace
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christina (Tennie) Wallace (nee Hawkins). She has finally been reunited with her beloved Bruce.

She leaves to mourn her three sons; Brian, Dennis (Kathy), Kevin (Heather); eight grandchildren; Caitlin, Brittany (Shante), Dustin (Nancy), Jessie (Rabyin) , Riley(Amanda), Adrianna(Daniel), Kelly (Josh) and Shannon; and four great grand children; Emma, Livia, Juliette and Mackenzie.

She is survived by two sisters in law, Viola Hawkins, and Norma Wallace Jacobsen (Leif).
Tennie is predeceased by her 5 siblings; William Hawkins, Catherine (Kay) Hawkins Brock, Johnny Hawkins, Margaret Hawkins Lowden, and Ross Hawkins.

Tennie leaves an indelible mark on each of her nieces and nephews as well as everyone who knew her. Her sense of humor and indomitable spirit were her trademarks. She dedicated her life to family, and mentoring the young people of Hemmingford. As a school teacher, lifelong tennis coach, and a scout leader of 37 years she touched many lives, and will be difficult to forget.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at the Ormstown Residential and Long term Care Centre for the excellent and compassionate care that Tennie received throughout her time there.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Alzheimers Association or Hemmingford Archives would be appreciated.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday June 10, 2017 from 11-12 at the funeral home Serre & Finnegan, Hemmingford, Qc. followed by a service at the chapel at 12 O’clock.

Our condolences

I remember Tennie when her sons were small. They lived in the little yellow house next door to Bill Hawkins, on the East Road just about a quarter-mile east of the Village. I did not know her well but I remember her and will not forget her. Deepest sympathies from Phil and me to the entire Hawkins and Wallace families.
