Janos Szoke, 2016-09-01

Born October 4th 1920 in Tiszadob,passed away peacefully in his sleep at Lake Shore Hospital, Pointe Claire on September 1st 2016. Predeceased by his parents Janos Szoke and Juliana Dus from Budapest, his loving wife Hilda Harter nie Bruch who passed away February 22nd 2010. Also William Stinson, Janos is survived by his daughter Edeltraut Hughes (son in law David), grandson James Stinson (Lisa & great granddaughter Rachael) granddaughters Linda (Stefan) Janet (James). He was a devote Catholic.

Employed as a Heavy Workshop Machine operator from 1948 to 1955 at 434th Workshop of Motorcars and Tanks and Employed at All Steel Canada Ltd 35 years, he Immigrated to Canada in December 1955and receivedCertificate of Canadian Citizenship July 23rd 1963. In 1986, he retired to a small acreage in Hemmingford, Quebec.

Loved animals especially his dogs, cats and birds feeding and caring for many abandoned or stray animals and also enjoyed gardening and caring for plants. Suffering with Alzheimer’s in his last years he found joy in his animal friends at home and caring for his plants.
