Pauline Smith (Lantz) 1927-2020

Passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of October 11th, 2020, at the Anna Laberge Hospital.  Dearly beloved wife of the late Reginald Smith.  She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Campbell, her son, John Campbell and her niece, Kendra Orr, as well as many other special friends, neighbors and relatives.

A graduate of McGill University, Med’75, she was a lifelong teacher and a visionary donor to the McGill P. Lantz Initiative for Excellence in Education and the Arts, the McGill Art Hive and various McGill student awards. Her devotion to children with diverse learning styles led her to the CVR Educational Foundation and the creation of The Pauline Lantz Smith Bursary.  She took great pleasure in supporting various other foundations that were special to her.  She loved her role as “teacher” and passed her wisdom and words on to many of us.

Due to Covid-19, a private family service will be held at the Roxham Road Cemetery.  Donations in her memory can be made to a charity of your choice.

Toutes nos condoléances

So sorry to hear that Pauline has passed away. The last six months must have been difficult for her since nobody could visit and she couldn’t go out. We had a lot of interesting discussions prior to that. Sad time for her children (Rosemary and John). and her niece Kendra.
